My name is Elizabeth McHugh. Some of you know me from Navigator, where I spent 15 years teaching fifth and sixth grade. Prior to that, I taught sixth and seventh grade Science & Social Studies in Plymouth-Canton. I'm looking forward to another exciting year at Pathfinder. This year, I will be teaching 7th grade Social Studies, Nature & Natural Disasters, and 8th grade Science.
I am a graduate of the University of Michigan and earned my master's degree at Eastern Michigan University. I am married to Tom, who teaches here at Pathfinder, also. We have 2 sons, who are in 6th & 4th grade and a daughter in 1st grade this year. We have a very busy household and I totally understand how crazy life can get after school, with homework and extracurricular activities.
When I have free time (haha, what's free time?), I love to read! I also like to run, golf, and play volleyball. I am on a women's volleyball team with Ms. Smith and Ms. Madill during the winter months. I also enjoy trying new recipes and baking yummy treats for my family. This summer we welcomed a new addition to our family. We got a Labradoodle puppy named Honey.
